Marshall, Mo. -- The Warrensburg wrestling Tigers won the Marshall Tournament, defeating seven other schools during the weekend. The Tigers took the title with three of their wrestlers earning individual first-place finishes, Daniel Allnutt at 125, Dan Schreimann at 171 and Travis Miller at 189.

"It was a great day for us considering that we had not won the tournament since 1989," head coach Don Schreimann said. "It is always a tough tournament and proved to be again."

"We scored 187.5 points. Helias was second with 168. Pleasant Hill was third with 164.5. Marshall was fourth with 154.5. Clinton was fifth with 144, followed by Mexico with 111.5, and Chillicothe and Gallatin tying with
48.

"I thought we looked a little sluggish the first round, but that is understandable after the two week layoff over Christmas break," Schreimann said. "I was really proud of the way the wrestlers bounced back later in the day. What I really liked was all of wrestlers scored points for us with none finishing less than fifth place."
