Golf tourney to benefit Veterans Home will be June 1 at WAFB

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The West Central Missouri Veteran’s Assistance League is seeking businesses, organizations and individuals to sponsor their 5th Annual “Scramble for Freedom” to benefit the Missouri Veterans Home – Warrensburg.
The “Scramble for Freedom” is a charity golf tournament scheduled for Whiteman Air Force Base’s Royal Oaks Golf Course Sunday, June 1. Sponsorships, as well as proceeds from the tournament participants, will be used to replace small, older TVs in eight common visiting areas for Veterans with new 37” flat screen TVs.
The tournament is open to the first 36 golf teams registered. Teams consist of four golfers at a cost of $220 per team ($55 per golfer). Lunch, golf cart and greens fees for 18 holes are included.
The West Central Missouri Veteran’s Assistance League is seeking four levels of sponsorship:
Corporate sponsors that donate $500, will have their business name appear in event advertising and may display their company’s banner at the entrance at the event; Sponsors of a golf team, a $220 donation, will have their name listed in advertising;
Sponsors at the different holes, a $200 donation, will have their name placed on a sign at one of the holes; and, Sponsors of a golf cart, a $50 donation, will have their name placed on a golf cart. A name may be submitted to be memorialized or honored for any of these sponsorships.
