Two hurt in pickup accident on Missouri 13

HIGGINSVILLE, MO.--A passenger in a pickup truck was seriously injured Sunday night when the driver lost control in a curve on Missouri Route 13 at Linwood Lawn Road.
Missouri State Trooper B. Graham said Kathy J. Conley, 45, of Higginsville, was seriously hurt when the southbound truck, driven by Jaclyn N. Reeves, 20, of Higginsville, slid off the right side of the wet roadway, struck a utility pole, fence and a tree.
Conley was transported to Centerpoint Hospital b y the Lexington EMS; Reeves was taken to the Lafayette County Regional Medical Center by the Lexington EMS.
The trooper described Reeves' injuries as moderate. Neither was wearing a seat belt, he noted. The truck was a total loss.
