Police seek Warrensburg man in connection with pitbull attack of Warrensburg woman

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- City Police are asking for assistance in locating Matthew J. Brooks,20, of Warrensburg.
Brooks is wanted on two outstanding Johnson County warrants for probation violation, with total bonds of $50,000, Warrensburg police say.
Warrensburg detectives also want to speak with Brooks in regards to the incident where Tonya Potter of Warrensburg was attacked by a pitbull April 11 that is believed to belong to Brooks.
Ms. Potter's nose was bitten off by the dog. Research Hospital in Kansas City reattached her nose, but additional swurgery may be required.
If the pitbull that attacked Potter is not located, she will have to undergo a series of rabies shots.
