WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- A Holden teenage driver was seriously injured Saturday night in a three-car accident.
Thadius P. Plemons, 16, was northbound on Route W, .10 of a mile south of NW 50 at 9:35 p.m., when he tried to pass a car driven by Michael D. Freeman, 17, of Bates City.
State trooper E.L. Tyrrel said Plemons' car sideswiped the southbound vehicle of Jason M. Hayes, 28, of Kingsville.
Plemons was taken to Research Hospital in Kansas City by a Johnson County ambulance. The Plemons' and Hayes' vehicles were extensively damaged, Tyrrel said. Investigation of the accident is continuing.
