Tractor driving competition set for county fair

WARRENSBURG, Mo.--4-H and FFA members of high school age have an opportunity to prove their expertise behind the wheel of a tractor next month.
The Johnson County Fair will once again feature a tractor rodeo. The event will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10, in front of the lake on the fairgrounds. There is a $3 entry fee, and contestants must register by noon the day of the contest.
Contestants will be judged on their safe driving procedures. Parental consent is required. Prizes will be awarded for the top three places. 4-H and FFA members from any county are invited to compete.
A meeting at 12:30 p.m. prior to the contest, will review the rules of competition.
Fair books with detailed information on classes and rules are available at the University of Missouri Extension Center, 135 W. Market St. during regular business hours.
