WARRENSBURG, Mo.-- UCM's Gallery of Art & Design opened its latest exhibition Thursday called Design Chicago 2010. The exhibition focuses on contemporary design initiatives such as: sustainability, responsibility, play and social practice.

The exhibit showcases works by Chicago based, or originated, graphic, industrial, and interior designers. In conjunction with the exhibition, the Gallery of Art & Design will present 3 design-based lectures scheduled throughout the exhibition and will feature a mini-book launch in honor of Emily Pilloton of Project H Design’s new book; “Design Revolution. 100 Products That Empower People.”

The exhibition will run from Oct. 1 - Nov. 6. The gallery's hours are Monday - Friday 9 p.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday 12 p.m. - 4 p.m., Thursdays open until 8 p.m. For more information contact the gallery at 660-543-4498.
