GREEN RIDGE, Mo. -- Two residents of this community are in the Pettis County Jail, following their arrests on drug charges.

Deputies from Johnson and Pettis counties and officers from the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 104 N. Cumberland Tuesday, and arrested Nickey T. Hargett, 35, and Shebil M. Todd, 29, both of that address.

Officers confiscated a quantity of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, several components to a methampetamine lab, stolen checks, stolen credit cards and stolen lottery tickets, according to Johnson County Sheriff Charles M. Heiss.

Hargett is charged with possession of a controlled substance--a class "C" felony--and is being held in jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Todd is charged with possession of a controled substance--a class "C" felony--and 14 counts of forgery, each a class "C" felony. She is also in jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Heiss said the investigation is continuing, and charges against Todd are expected to be filed in Johnson and surrounding counties.
