Driver hurt when car strikes deer

WARRENSBURG, Mo.--A motorist received minor injuries when her car struck a deer early Friday morning.
Shannon M. Bates, 27, of Warrensburg, was eastbound on Route 00, a mile west of Missouri 13, at 2:10 a.m., when she hit the deer. Missouri Highway Patrol trooper D. Schubert said she was injured after the car's airbags deployed.
She was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
