WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Junior Community Chorus, sponsored by Warrensburg Parks & Recreation, begins it's fall season Sept. 11.

The program is open to boys (with unchanged voices) and girls in third grade or older. The children will learn proper vocal technique and how to sing unison and two-part music. They will practice music reading skills while participating with others who like to sing.

The practices begin Thursday, Sept. 11 and run through Dec. 4. They are from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Warrensburg Community Center.

The chorus will perform Dec. 7 at the Chorus Holiday Concert. The chorus is directed by Marcille McCandless. The cost is $32 per child, and a WPR Youth Scholarship is available.

Participants may register at the Warrensburg Community Center, 445 E. Gay St.; by phone at 747-7178; or online with eFUN at www.warrensburg-mo.com.
