Montserrat Vineyards hosts 'Grapegrass' festival

MONTSERRAT, Mo. -- Montserrat Vineyards, located east of Knob Noster off U.S. 50, hosted its second annual "Grapegrass" festival Saturday, Sept. 25-celebrating wine and bluegrass music.

The event showcased a number of performers such as: The Wilders, Mountain Sprout, The Hillbenders, Highwater String Band, and The Emily Dowden Band. Guests were able to listen to music while tasting several types of wine made at the winery.

Guests enjoyed shows on an outdoor stage surrounded by grape vine and trees.

The Emily Dowden Band was one of the bands who performed at the event.

Josh Lozkron, from Olathe Kan., took time to enjoy the show.

Fans were able to watch performers while sipping wine.
