Chad Jones, 42, of Holden, has died; funeral is Wednesday

HOLDEN, Mo.--Chad Wayne Jones, 42, of Holden, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at home.
He was born in Independence, Mo., May 8, 1968, the son of Dennis Earl and Velma Juanita (Hamilton) Jones. He lived in Lone Jack, Mo., before moving to Holden 10 years ago.
Mr. Jones worked in the foundry at Stahl Specialty Company in Kingsville, Mo., for about 10 years. He married the former Patricia Renee Willis May 21, 2010, in Holden. He was a member of Forward Community Church in Holden.
Surviving his are his wife, Patricia Jones, of the home; two daughters, Nichole Barcenas, Boone, N.C., and Micaela Jones, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; three step-sons, Corben, Chad and Curtis Guffey, of the home; his father, Dennis Jones, Independence, Mo.; his mother and dad, Steve and Velma Spurgeon, Kingsville, Mo.; one brother, Jeff Jones, Odessa, Mo.; two step-sisters, Tera Dinges, Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Tiffany Spurgeon, Kingsville, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
His funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Forward Community Church, Holden, under the direction of Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden., with the Rev. Dexter Snider officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Jones, Corben Guffey, Chris Guffey, Robert Vance, Mackie Vance and Kent DePriest.
Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Guffey, Bill Hensley and Ernie Hillsman.
Interment will be in Elm Spring Cemetery, Kingsville, Mo.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Forward Community Church Building Fund.
