WARRENSBURG, Mo.--Jessalyn Marie Gallagher, 56, of Warrensburg, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.

She was born Dec. 7, 1955, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of William Ernest and Evelyn (Legg) Martin.

On July 16, 1976, she married Michael J. Gallagher in Goldsboro, N.C.

Mrs. Gallagher was a graduate of Central Missouri State University. She drove a school bus for the Warrensburg R-VI School District and retired in 2010. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, loved plastic canvass sewing, collecting coins, and was an avid doll collector.

Jessalyn Marie Gallagher is survived by her husband Michael; three sons: Michael E. Gallagher and wife Jennifer of Concordia; John Gallagher and wife Linda of Leeton; and Chris Gallagher of Warrensburg; one daughter, Jennifer Moore and husband Larry of Concordia; seven brothers: Michael Martin; Jim Martin of Allentown, Pa.; Billy Martin of Warrensburg; Mark Martin of Arizona; Steve Martin of Maryland; Paul Martin of Topock, Ariz.; and Brian Martin of Allentown, Pa.; three sisters: Elizabeth Chancellor of Harrisburg, N.C.; Shirley Hadlock of Las Vegas; and Darlene Shephard of Vidalia, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jeff and Allen Martin.

A celebration of life will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday Feb. 25, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Jessalyn Gallagher Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Michael J. Gallagher and can be left at the funeral home.
