Kari McCarty of Lake Charles, LA directs the choir at the end of the Kodaly Summer Training Program.

This summer, K-8 music teachers from all across Missouri came to UCM to participate in the Kodaly Summer Program, an intensive course instructing teachers in the Kodaly method of teaching music education. The Kodaly method is designed to instill a love of music in every student and to make students musically literate using age-appropriate teaching methods and materials.

The program was closed with their annual choir concert, pictured above.
