UCM's communications chief is finalist for VP at Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Jeffery Morris, UCM's chief communications officer, is one of three finalists to be interviewed next week for the position of Kansas State University's vice president for communications and marketing, a new position that will oversee university communications and marketing strategy.
Search committee chairwoman Virginia Moxley said finalists are Morris; Jackie Hartman, associate professor of management at Colorado State University;; and Jeanette DeDiemar, executive director of integrated marketing and communication at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
The vice president will provide leadership in media relations; university publications, such as student recruiting materials; Educational Communications Center; printing services; and for two proposed units — a Web design team and a marketing research team.
Morris will visit KSU Dec. 15-16, with an open forum scheduled Dec. 16.
