Pickup comes off tow-truck hitch, strikes car

WARRENSBURG, Mo.--A Leeton woman was injured Thursday when a pickup came off the tow bar of a wrecker and struck her car.
Janice R. Hosking, 70, was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center with minor injuries.
Missouri Highway Patrol trooper D.W. Schubert said Alan J. Woods, 27, Warrensburg, was towing a pickup when it came loose from the tow bar, and rolled into the path of the Hosking car.
The accident occurred on Missouri 13 at SW 600 Road at 10:20 a.m. Hosking's 2010 car was extensively damaged. Charges are pending.
