Fire kills Knob Noster child

KNOB NOSTER, Mo. -- Knob Noster chief of police Brian Kniskern said Monday that a small child died at a Knob Noster residence Friday as a result of burns sustained during a fire in the home’s kitchen.
Police responded to the residence at 8:48 a.m. Friday.
Police have not yet released the name of the child or the mother, who was injured in the blaze. Kniskern said the Knob Noster police and fire departments as well as the Missouri fire marshal's office are cooperating in an ongoing investigation.
