Free preschool screening offered

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Warrensburg R-VI School District will offer a three-, four- and five-year-old developmental screening the evenings of Nov. 10 and 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. and the morning of Nov. 13, 8:30-11:00 a.m., at the Parents As Teachers Center, located at Reese Education Center, 301 W. Market (corner of Market and Warren streets).

Children entering Kindergarten next year will be screened in April. If parents wish to get a picture of their child’s development before April, children entering Kindergarten are welcome at this screening.

The free screening will check the child’s overall development, speech, hearing and vision. The goal of the screening is to help parents become more knowledgeable about their child’s development and provide early detection of potential concerns. The entire screening process will take 1-1 ½ hours. To make an appointment, please call 747-2496.
