Those who want to participate as walkers, team captains, or donors have an opportunity to learn more from Nick Broeker, AHA events coordinator. He will be available from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Western Missouri Medical Center, Room 1, to signup participants and provide more information.
The Heart Walk is a fundraising event planned for Saturday, Sept. 27 in Warrensburg. The American Heart Association uses money raised from Heart Walks across the country to sponsor programs and events to fund advocacy, education, and research into cardiovascular disease. The walks are coordinated through the help of numerous local volunteers who want to take positive steps to show they are serious about fighting the nation’s number one killer, heart disease, and number three killer – stroke.
