2 Holden men seriously hurt when car rolls

HOLDEN, Mo.--Two Holden men were seriously injured in a one-car crash on County Road SW 825, near Missouri 131 early Saturday.
Highway Patrol trooper J. Owens said a westbound car driven by Jacob A. Mitchell, 21, went off the left side of the road and struck an embankment, then rolled over several times before landing on its top.
Mitchell and a passenger, Michael R. Culbertson, 24, of Holden, were taken via helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., with serious injuries.
Another passenger, Tyler M. Jennings, 21, also of Holden, declined treatment for his injuries. Culbertson and Jennings were not wearing seat belts, Owens said.
The 1:30 a.m. accident is under investigation, and charges are pending. The car was a total loss.
