Area police agencies form alcohol enforcement team

WARRENSBURG, Mo.--Law enforcement officers from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Warrensburg , Knob Noster and Holden police departments and the UCM Department of Public Safety are establishing an alcohol enforcement team to work in those communities.
The purpose of the team is to support and enhance efforts to prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors, to prohibit the purchase and consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors, and to decrease the number of people who choose to drive while intoxicated.
Prior to the activation of the alcohol enforcement team, all liquor license holders will be offered free server training, verification of age training on various types of IDs, and what to expect from alcohol compliance checks.
