Young man charged with burglary of downtown church

WARRENSBURG, Mo.--City police have arrested a Warrensburg youth on charges of burglary of three buildings of the Christ Episcopal Church Wednesday.
Trevor N. Lewie, 18, was arrested Wednesday morning. Lt. Randy Eich said officers were able to recover the majority of the items stolen in the burglaries, including a laptop computer, computer hard drive, a credit card, and food items from a backpack the suspect was wearing when he was arrested.
]The burglaries occurred at the Christ Episcopal Church, 136 E. Gay St., the church's parrish building at 132 E. Gay St., and the church day care center, 134 E. Gay St.
The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office charged Lewie with three counts of burglary 2nd degree and one count of felony stealing in connection with this case. A warrant was issued for Trevor Lewie on these charges, with bond set at $4,500.
