The UCM Mules football team heads to St. Joseph today to open the 2012 season with a conference matchup against 18th-ranked Missouri Western. The game starts at at 6 p.m. as the Mules look to get back to the postseason for the third straight year under third-year head coach Jim Svoboda.

The Crest Ridge volleyball team lost to Sherwood Monday in three games, 25-21, 15-25, 24-26. Breanna Wonderly had nine kills and four digs. Melodi Branscum had four kills, Kennedy Dick had eight assists, and Destanie Garza served up five aces, according to coach Angie Flick.
The Warrensburg Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registrations for fall adult volleyball Leagues. There will be two divisions — coed and women’s.
