With spring around the corner, it’s time to start switching out your winter color palette for your spring one. I’m not only talking about your wardrobe color palette here, but your hair too.

Expect to see colors like rose quartz, lilac grey and limpet shell blue splash across clothing this spring, but with rainbow hair still trending, expect to see on students’ heads throughout campus too.

You can fully commit to this trend by dying your hair an unnatural color from roots to tips, or you can keep some of your natural color and simply ombre the bottoms.

Celebrities like Ruby Rose, Katy Perry, Zayn Malik and Joe Jonas have already jumped onboard this crazy colored trend.

There are a few setbacks to this trend though. If you have dark hair, you’ll need to bleach the parts you want colored. This can cause damage to your hair and give it a straw-like texture.

If you choose to dye your whole head, the upkeep can get costly and hard to keep up. You’ll have to continue going into the salon every few weeks to dye your roots.

The rainbow hair trend is a big commitment. If you want to change up your hair color a bit and you already have dark hair, however, without making it too noticeable, try the eggplant trend.

This color was popular in the ‘90s and has made its way back in style for spring 2016. All you do for this trend is add a bit of dark purple throughout your hair.

It’s enough of unnatural, yet natural, color that will leave people trying to pinpoint the exact hue.

If you want to stay away from unnatural colors altogether, there are other spring color trends for you to try out.

Buttery ash and golden flax are two colors for blondes to give a try, whereas bright brown and cool espresso are going to trend for brunettes.

Ombre is still at large this season, so you can change up your hair color from its natural color to something a bit more adventurous.

Remember, dying hair isn’t only for women. Men can keep on trend with hair colors too or feel free to create their own.
