Juanita Louise Hampton, 66, of Holden, Mo., has died; funeral was Aug. 13

(HOLDEN, Mo.)—Juanita Louise Hampton, 66, of Holden, Mo.,  died Friday, Aug. 10, at Ridge Crest Nursing Center in Warrensburg.

Juanita was born May 7, 1946 in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Joseph E. and Juanita A. (Sherril) Angel. She graduated from Chilhowee High School. She married James Dean Hampton on June 29, 1996 in Windsor, Mo. The couple resided in La Monte for 10 years. They have made their home in Holden since 2006. Juanita had a special place in her heart for her Chihuahua, “Sissy.”

She is survived by her husband, James; three children: Debbie Miller of Holden, Mo.; Jeff Miller of Holden, Mo. and Bill Seaman of Warrensburg; a brother: Joe Angel of Camdenton, Mo.; five grandchildren: Amber Pemberton, Phillip Pemberton, Brian Register, Kelley Miller and Ryan Miller; and three great grandchildren: Wyatt Pemberton, Peyton Pemberton and Emma Register. She was preceded in death by both parents; her son: John Thomas Miller; an infant sister, Joanne and a sister-in-law, Loretta Angel.

Graveside services were Monday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. at New Liberty Cemetery at Magnolia with Pastor Mike Wakeman officiating.
