Martin Luther King Jr. day Celebration events canceled

Due to inclement weather,  Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration events scheduled for Monday, Jan. 15 are canceled, according to a UCM news release.

The Service Day and the evening MLK Gospel Concert events will not be reschedule while all other activities are taking place as planned until further notice.

The remaining events include:

Tuesday, Jan. 16

MLK Freedom Scholarship Dinner
6:30 p.m.
Elliott Student Union Ballroom
Keynote speaker Greg “Coach T” Thomas

MLK Celebration Blood Drive 
10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days
Elliott Student Union Ballroom

Wednesday, Jan. 17

Equality Photo Booth
11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Elliott Student Union atrium

Student Volunteer Fair
11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Elliott Student Union Atrium

To purchase dinner tickets in advance contact the Mentoring, Advocacy and Peer Support (MAPS) office located in Dockery 212, call 660-543-4156, or at the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce at 100 S. Holden St. Individual ticket prices are available in Bronze $50, Silver $75 and Gold $100; Table of eight ticket prices are available in Bronze $400, Silver $600, and Gold $800.
