Paul Sidney Webster

Paul Sidney Webster, 63 of Blue Springs, Missouri, died Monday, Sept. 4, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 at Elm Spring Baptist Church, north of Kingsville, Missouri, with Paul’s son, John Webster, Deacon officiating.

Paul was born Dec. 27, 1953, in Sedalia, Missouri, the son of William Jewell Webster and Mary Earlene (Smith) Webster. He graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri, and attended Electronics Institute in Belton, Missouri, He was married to Kathleen Mary McAtee on June 6, 1975, in Kansas City. The couple resided in Independence, Missouri, for eight years. During this time, Paul was an over-the-road truck driver. Next, they moved to Grandview, Missouri, for one year, where he worked in landscaping. Later, they made their home in Edgerton, Kansas, where Paul continued in the landscaping business. More recently, they lived in Gardner, Kansas, where he was in construction for six years. In 2002, they moved to North Kansas City. Paul had been a resident of Blue Springs, Missouri, since 2011. During the last several years, he worked at odd jobs such as painting and installing carpet. Paul’s passion was music. He played lead guitar in a local band, Guitars & Cataracts for the last couple of years.

Survivors include three children: John Webster and wife, Mandy of Holden, Missouri; Amy Webster of Gardner, Kansas, and James Webster and wife, Alicia of La Tour, Missouri; two sisters: Mildred Rhode and husband, Morris of Prairie Home, Missouri, and Cheryl Cox and husband, Steve of Independence; brother: Clyde Webster and wife, Lucy of Smithton, Missouri; brother-in-law: Chester Arne of Holden; 11 grandchildren: Grace Elizabeth Webster, Samuel Paul Webster, Madeline Faith Webster, Elianna Jewell Webster, Stephanie Eileen Webster, David Eli Gatlin, Tristin Paul Robert Gower, Myleigh Kathleen Webster, Jace Michael Webster, Kolton James Webster and Kolby William Webster; great granddaughter: Ayla Eileen Mims and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Rebecca Sue in infancy and Patricia Arne.

Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery north of Chilhowee.

The family will receive friends, from 1 p.m. until service time, Saturday at the church.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to Paul S. Webster Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
