Raymond Garnett Stout

Raymond Garnett Stout, 93, of Holden, Missouri, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, at his home.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at Gun City Christian Church with Rev. Steve Winnie officiating. Interment will follow at the Holden Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by Holden Veterans of Foreign Wars, Memorial Post 5844; Munday-Hancock Post 90, American Legion and United States Army Honors Team.

Raymond was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Holden, to Eugene Stout and Effie (Shore) Stout. He attended Stout Rural School, Holden High School and graduated from Latour High School. He served in the U. S. army, as a T5, and was discharged in 1947. Raymond married Joan Kenagy on Sept. 7, 1951. To this union, one daughter, Renae Falke was born.

Raymond was a farmer his entire life. He also worked at Stahl’s Specialty Co. for 14 years and at Bendix Corporation for a brief time. He was a faithful member of Gunn City Christian Church, where he served as deacon for many years. Raymond loved to deer hunt and fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy, Sam, John, and Stanley; and son-in-law, Keith McMullin. He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Renae Falke and husband, Sam; four grandsons: Anthony (Tiffany), Jared of Kansas City, Missouri, Seth McMullin and Nathan McMullin; four great grandchildren and many friends, family and neighbors.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Anthony McMullin, Jared McMullin, Seth McMullin and Nathan McMullin.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time, Saturday at the church.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to Gun City Christian Church or Crossroads Hospice.
