Football hurdles eight spots in AFCA poll following win over Pitt State

Mules football moved up eight spots in the latest American Football Coaches Association poll. They sit thirteenth in the rankings after defeating Pittsburg State. The Mules earned 401 points in the poll. Northwest Missouri remains in the No. 1 slot with 850 points. UCM is among seven teams from Super Region Three to be ranked. They will travel to Fort Hays State to take on the Tigers at 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at Lewis Field Stadium.

Jennies Soccer Gets Bumped up a Spot in United Soccer Poll

The latest United Soccer Coaches Poll has the Jennies listed at No. 4 following their back-to-back victories against Southwest Oklahoma and Augustana. The Jens scored nine goals over the two contests and left both of their opponents scoreless. Last year’s national champion, Western Washington, retained the No. 1 spot on the chart. Columbus State improved to the No. 2 spot and Kutztown moved up to No. 3. The Jennies look to improve their standings again next week as they head to Minnesota to take on St. Cloud State Friday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m.

Jennies Volleyball Climbs Five Spots in this week’s AVCA poll.

The Jennies secured the No. 16 spot in the American Volleyball Coaches Association after sweeping each of their four matches played at the South Central Classic in Oklahoma. The Jennies defeated Minnesota-Crookston, Southeastern Oklahoma, Southern Arkansas, and Southern Nazarene. This week’s rankings marks the program’s 400th straight appearance in the AVCA poll. The Jennies have been included in every poll since the program came into existence in 1986.

Ana Dilkes sets MIAA record, earns Goalkeeper of the Week

Ana Dilkes was recognized as MIAA Goalkeeper of the week following her record-setting performances against Southwest Oklahoma State and Augustana.

At the start of the season, Dilkes was tied with Truman State’s Emily Huyuck (1999-2001) for most career shut-outs with 43. She notched her recording setting shut-out Thursday against Southwest Oklahoma State.

Dilkes posted shut-outs in the Jennies 4-0 victory over Southwest Oklahoma State and in their 5-0 victory over Augustana. Over the course of the two games she accumulated 13 saves on 19 shots faced.
