HAZELWOOD, Mo. -- Police say a UCM student stole a Lexus from a car dealership, then sped off, triggering a five-car crash Wednesday, injuring five people.

Dawite T. Derjew, 21, of Florissant, a UCM student who resides in Nickerson Hall, was charged with stealing a motor vehicle, first-degree property damage and resisting arrest. Bond has been set at $10,000.
