Freshman quarterback Jeff Miller led Holden to a second-quarter lead in Wednesday's playoff game, but Richmond fought back for a 41-26 victory.
HOLDEN, Mo. -- With a lot of pluck and a little luck, Holden grabbed a second-quarter lead versus Richmond, and the Eagles entered halftime trailing by just a point versus a team that had beaten them by three touchdowns early this season.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. -- Holden’s volleyball team lost to O’Hara 25-10, 25-16 in Saturday’s Class 3 sectional at Excelsior Springs. But Holden coach Julie Carver sees no reason to focus on that brief and bitter moment. She chooses to look at a team that compiled a 26-5-3 record and continued a long-standing tradition of success.

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The No. 6 Central Missouri Jennies rolled past No. 19 Truman State 3-0, (25-12, 25-12, 25-23) at the Multipurpose Building Wednesday evening. With their 11th straight home victory, the Jens completed the season sweep of the Bulldogs, the first since 1998.
