Julia Margaret Maham

Julia Margaret Maham, 84 of Knob Noster, Missouri, died Thursday, Jan. 10, at Harmony Gardens Assisted Living in Warrensburg surrounded by her family.

Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with the Rev. Leo Endel officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Julia was born Feb. 10, 1934, in San Luis, Colorado, the daughter of Jacob and Carmelita (Quintana) Gallegos. She graduated from Mercy High School in San Luis, class of 1952. She was united in marriage to Billy R. Maham on June 7, 1952, in Denver, Colorado. The couple made their home in Denver, Panama, Kansas, Texas and Washington prior to moving to Knob Noster. Julia worked in the Knob Noster Elementary Lunch Program for several years. Her hobbies included gardening and reading. She was a member of the Knob Noster Panther Coffee Ladies. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Billy; two daughters, Jeanie (Randy) Jones, of Warrensburg, Missouri; and Jackie (Rob) Blevins, of Warrensburg; three sons, John (Katherine) Maham, of Warrensburg; Billy (Terri) Maham, of O’Fallon, Illinois; and Daniel (Mona) Maham, of O’Fallon; two sisters, Bella Cruz, of San Luis, Colorado; and Martha Romero, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three brothers, Rudy (Shirley) Gallegos, of Colorado Springs; Ben (Virginia) Gallegos, of Cochilla, California; and Fermin (Lynnora) Gallegos, of Denver; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tex Gallegos, and sister, Lorraine Gallegos.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Knob Noster Library or Show-Me-Christian Youth Home at LaMonte in care of the funeral home.
