Phillip Leroy Brillhart

Phillip Leroy Brillhart, 56, of Holden, Missouri, died Friday Feb. 2, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Forward Community Church, 298 SW 131 Highway in Holden, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dexter Snyder officiating.

Phillip was born April 7, 1961, in Kansas City to Francis Brillhart and Loretta (Clapper) Brillhart. Phillip graduated from Holden High School and attended Central Missouri State University – now University of Central Missouri – pursuing a music degree. While studying music, Phillip decided to pursue his Paramedic license. Phillip worked for many years as a paramedic and later as a firefighter-paramedic working his way to supervisor and flight medic.

Phillip was a longtime member of the Missouri Firefighters Association and other national Fire Associations. Phillip was a member of the Forward Community Church and was involved in the Praise and Worship band, COAT, the Holden Area Ministerial Association, and the Holden Chamber of Commerce.

Phillip was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Brillhart, stepmother, Carolyn Brillhart, and brother, Darrin Brillhart.

Surviving him is his spouse, Karen Parks, of the home; his father, Francis Brillhar; two step sons, Clint Decinillio and wife, Rachel Agcopra; and Christopher Agcopra and wife, Valerie, of Holden; four step daughters: Jennifer Lynn and Gerald Chambers of Clinton, Missouri; Lyndsy Marie and Nate Routh of Pomme-de-terre, Missouri; Christie Jo Naumann and Nathan Cave of Gladstone, Missouri; and Miranda Parks of Warrensburg, Missouri; one brother Forrest and Kathy Brillhart of Holden; a sister-in-law, Julie Brillhart of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; one sister Cindy and Jim Connell of Holden; three step-sisters: Robin and Bill Jolly of Clinton; Lisa and David Heiman of Lone Jack, Missouri; and Vivian and John Tucker of Clinton; 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family or to the American Heart Association, in memory of Phillip Leroy Brillhart.
