Students let their inner pop star and gamer shine through at the beginning of the month.

UCM students took time out of their busy schedules to attend the Ultimate Blowout Show. Students gathered together in the Elliott Student Union on Nov. 7 to play video games, make music videos and have a photo shoot.

Mouths were open in awe when people came through the door and saw the video game set up, as if people were seeing their dreams come true. Laughter and giggles filled the room as students escaped from the stress of school.

The Spotlight held this event for six hours so students could attend at a time that worked best for them.

Some of the games played were FIFA 10, Mario Kart, Mario Bros. and Mortal Kombat.
