Smoke Signals

Garrason Leighton and Greg Burns sit down each week to visit with members of the UCM community and discuss hot topics of the day on “Smoke Signals”. Garrason, Greg and their guests to share their stories and invite listeners into their lives. “Smoke Signals” airs Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Only on UCM-The Beat.  You can check out past episodes right here.

Episode 1

This week’s guest:  Caleb Romazon of the University of Central Missouri bass fishing team as he discusses the Mules journey to the national championships.

Episode 2

On this week’s episode, Garrason Leighton interviews Evin Kettner.  Evin is studying for a bachelor of science degree in statistics and is an avid sports fan.  How avid? He is the “head behind the head” and the student who dresses as Mo the Mule for UCM sporting events.  He shares his story this week on “Smoke Signals”.

Episode 3

Ever wonder what it is like to belong to a college fraternity?  Find out on this week’s episode of “Smoke Signals” as Garrason Leighton visits with Zach Newkirk, president of Theta Chi.  Zach is a small-town kid from Raymore, Mo. and is now a senior political science major at the University of Central Missouri.

Episode 4

Issues related to the police have made headlines of late.  In this week’s episode of “Smoke Signals”, Garrason Leighton visits with Warrensburg Police Officer Stephanie Pringle to gain a better understanding of how Warrensburg’s finest protect and serve.

Episode 5

This week on “Smoke Signals” Garrason hangs out with Dr. Melissa Fuller from the UCM Counseling Center to discuss the services the Counseling Center provides.

Episode 6

Julien Goolsby is a freshman computer science major at the University of Central Missouri.  He is into making apps and games on his computer, and recently got into creating his own music.  Garrason talked to Julien about his experience at UCM on this, the sixth episode of “Smoke Signals”.
