A memorial service for former UCM President Aaron Podolefsky is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 at in the UCM Alumni Memorial Chapel.

The service is open to the campus and community. Information about Podolefsky’s life will be read, and then a microphone will be available for people to share personal stories or remembrances.

Podolefsky died Thursday, Aug. 8 after a battle with prostate cancer.

He was president and professor of anthropology at the University of Central Missouri from 2005 to 2010, and was previously president of Buffalo State in New York.
