LouWana “Lou” Beth Langlois, 61, of Warrensburg, died Saturday, March 1, at the Four Season Living Center in Sedalia.
She was born Dec. 26, 1952, in Tucson, Ariz., the daughter of P.K. and Mosel (Elva) Gordon.
She later married Claude R. Langlois at Davis Monthan AFB Chapel in Tucson, Ariz., on Dec. 10, 1971. They were married 18 years and later divorced in January 1990 but remained in contact and close friends.
Lou worked as a certified nursing assistant for Four Seasons In-Home Health Services for the last 25 years with a career of more than 40 years in health care. She also loved to restore/refresh old Volkswagen Beetles and was known as the “Bug Lady of Hickory Hills.”
She is survived by a son, Eric Daniel Langlois and his wife, Shirley, of St. Joseph; and a daughter, Nichole Adele Langlois of Warrensburg; two brothers, Harley Gordon of Oregon and Phillip Gordon of Minnesota; two sisters, Charmaine Davis of Shreveport, La.; and Robin Ruiz of Arizona. She is also survived by two grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, P.K. Gordon and Elva Ruiz.
Lou was passionate about animals and the family suggests memorial contributions to the Pet Exchange and can be left in care of the funeral home.
