Lifelong Learning at UCM will present the program “Handcrafted American Artistry: Collecting Fenton Glass” at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the Warrensburg Community Center, Rooms B/C, 445 E. Gay St. Melvin and Norma Lampton, presenters and Fenton glass specialists, have collected antique glass for approximately 30 years. They will display part of their extensive collection of glassware and will offer insight into different types of glass, their mineral compositions, and their production methods. Audience members are welcome to bring their pieces of glassware for the Lamptons to discuss. However, they will not appraise the value of any pieces brought in. For information about this and other Lifelong Learning programs, visit the website www.ucmo.edu/LLL.
