The annual Dickens Christmas event is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Warrensburg. The event features storefronts brought to life with working artists. There will be horse and wagon rides, live music and caroling, chestnut roasting, a tree lighting ceremony at the Johnson County Courthouse, and Tiny Tim’s Soup Competition. Visitors can purchase a soup competition score card for $5 at Warrensburg Main Street, 111 N. Holden St., to vote for the best soup in town from different downtown locations.
