Christian Cutler, gallery director at the University of Central Missouri, is scheduled to present tips for using a smartphone to capture images of artwork at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, during the meeting of Mid-Missouri Artists in the Arts and Crafts Room of the Warrensburg Community Center. The presentation will cover setup, lighting and editing along with a few suggested smartphone apps.

Cutler received his Master of Fine Art in photography in 2006 from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where he also assisted the registrar and preparator of the Cranbrook Art Museum. He previously served as director of galleries for Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas; director’s assistant for The Sir Elton John Photography Collection; and co-director and registrar for Jackson Fine Art Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia. He has also owned an art installation business.
