Edward Frank Alvis, 85, of Blairstown Missouri, died on April 21, at the Holden Manor Care Center in Holden, Missouri.
Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday April 24,1 p.m. at the Carpenter Cemetery South of Holden and West of Chilhowee.
Edward was born Aug. 27, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Fred Alvis and Loula Saunders.
Edward joined the United States Navy on April 19, 1951 and served until April 18, 1955. Edward was united in marriage to Dolores Dains on March 2, 1956.
They made their home in rural Blairstown for more than 60 years. Edward worked for the Railroad Terminal in Kansas City, Kansas until his retirement.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents Fred Alvis and Loula Alvis and one sister Betty Garrett. Edward is survived by his wife Dolores of the home, two sons, Keith Alvis and Teresa Hanifin of Marionville, Missouri; Lee Alvis and wife Sharon of rural Blairstown, Missouri; one sister, Patricia Mask, O’fallon, Missouri. two grandchildren and one great grandchild all of which he adored.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Carpenter Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
