Three spring Walk to School events are scheduled for this week.

The City of Warrensburg is partnering with Sterling, Maple Grove and Ridgeview elementary schools for the walk. The idea is to walk to school together to promote health, pedestrian safety, physical activity and concern for the environment, according to a news release.

Students will walk with parents, teachers and community leaders.

The schedule is as follows:

• Sterling Elementary – Wednesday, meeting at Gay and Lawson streets beginning at 7:30 a.m. with an estimated start walking time of 7:50 a.m.
• Maple Grove Elementary – Friday, meeting at Shamrock and Hamilton streets beginning at 7:30 a.m. with an estimated start walking time of 7:50 a.m.
• Ridgeview Elementary – Friday, meeting at Sacred Heart Catholic Church beginning at 7:30 a.m. with an estimated start walking time of 7:50 a.m.
