The Kansas City Star (http://j.mp/1U2Lsex) reports that police say Zane Schafer, an Eagle Scout, died Thursday when the ATV he was driving apparently rolled over and pinned him underneath. He was alone at the time.

Earlier this year, Schafer received the Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award through the Boy Scouts of America.

The award recognized his community service project for special-needs preschoolers and students at a Blue Springs school. The project made soccer goals for preschoolers and sensory boards that were accessible to students in wheelchairs.
