Members of Mid-Missouri Artists will kick off the new year with a swap meet on Thursday, Jan. 29. People can put their names in a drawing for art supplies. Members are asked to bring only one or two items for the exchange. MMA officers will provide desserts for the meeting, and those present will discuss and select the 2015 Art Challenge. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Arts and Crafts room of the Warrensburg Community Center, 445 E. Gay St. All meetings are free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.midmissouriartists.webs.com. Art classes sponsored by MMA and offered through Warrensburg Parks and Recreation will begin soon with a “Watercolor for Everyone: Sand, Shells, and Surf” class beginning Jan. 21 taught by watercolor artist Gary Cadwallader.
