Old Drum Open Mic is set for 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, in the back room of Tranquility Shop, 128 N. Holden St. in downtown Warrensburg.

Area writers, poets, playwrights, storytellers, memoirists, comics, songwriters and composers are invited to share their works. Pre-registration of talent is welcome but not required. For more information, visit the Old Drum Open Mic Facebook page. Presentations must be shorter than 15 minutes.

Artists scheduled for the Dec. 1 session include Scott Umphrey with a memoir called “Artist Black,” Jo Narron with the original song “Buy the World,” Jenny Molberg with a selection from her poetry canon, Eddie Osborne will present a reading, and Phil Wagner will present two folk songs.

Clifton Adams will present the tale “My Football Life,” and Henry Yeager will reprise his story “My Christmas Gift,” which was published on the front page of the Daily Star Journal two years ago.

Old Drum Open Mic programs are free and open to the public.
