Rodney Allen Snell, 57, of La Tour, Missouri, died Aug. 23, near Garden City, Missouri, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday Aug. 31, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor Joseph Williamson of Crossroads Outreach Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery south of Holden. Pallbearers will be Mason Snell, Jessie Snell, Jim Reynolds, Jeff Warren, Jordan Johnson and David Naumann. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Snell, Drake Miller and Jeff Vaughn.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time, Friday at the church.
Rod was born Oct. 31, 1960, in Butler, Missouri; son of William Frank Snell and Bonnie Christine (Akins) Snell. He resided in La Tour for the majority of his life. He was employed at Stahl’s for nearly 30 years. Rod retired from Stahl’s to take care of his wife. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, metal detecting, gardening and planting trees. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Rod also enjoyed helping others in need, watching the Denver Broncos, listening to classic rock and beaches. He loved his wife and daughter unconditionally. He was a longtime member of La Tour Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Elisha (David) Naumann of Kingsville, Missouri; mother, Bonnie Riffle; sister, Robin (Travis) Lutz; brother, William R. “Rick” (Pam) Snell, all of La Tour; three half sisters, Shirley (Jim) Riffle of La Tour, Pat (Gary) Braun of Stover, Missouri, and Laverne Wehmeyer of Humansville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Mason Allen Snell, Drake Dean Michael Miller, Bentley Coleman Jaxton Naumann and Jeannie Elizabeth Christine Naumann; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie; father, William; infant grandson, Hunter Naumann; maternal grandparents, Clyde and Ruth Akins; paternal grandparents, Amos Snell and Lula Burton and stepfather, LeRoy Riffle.
