Virginia L. Brown, 63, of Sedalia, Mo., died Thursday, March 27, at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, Mo.
Cremation is planned under the direction of Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
She was born Aug. 25, 1950, in Vineland, N.J., the daughter of Clarence Earl and Delores Jean (Ellison) Brown.
Virginia was a graduate of Vineland High School, class of 1968. She then attended and received her associate’s degree in accounting from Greenfield Community College in Greenfield, Mass. Virginia worked as a bookkeeper for various manufacturing companies in Massachusetts, Florida and Missouri until her retirement from Hawker Energy in Warrensburg in 2001. She loved making crafts, sewing, cross stitching, listening to country music and watching NASCAR. She also enjoyed playing, cooking, and watching TV with her granddaughters. Virginia had great compassion for children and donated monthly to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., for many years.
She is survived by her son, Albert Mosley, and wife, Nuvia, of Sedalia, Mo.; her brother, Alfred Brown of Cedarville, N.J.; her sister, Susan Brown, of Vineland; her mother, Delores Jean Brown, of Vineland; and four granddaughters, Miranda and Lizabel Sanchez, and Miranda and Juliana Mosley.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and can be left in care of funeral home.
