Chilhowee opens Mid-State tournament with win

For the second time in less than a week, the Chilhowee Indians defeated the Wentworth Dragons, 50-33 during the Mid-State Conference tournament in LaMonte, Mo.

The Indians allowed the Dragons only four first-half points. The Tribe led 23-4 at intermission.

During the second half, coach Joe Murphy was able to use his bench and play all 13 available players.

Dillon Anstine had 21 points and 16 rebounds for Chilhowee. Brandon Lankford and Matt West scored 11 and 10 points respectively. Lankford added four assists in the effort.

Chilhowee is back in action Wednesday night in the tournament semi-finals.
