Christiane Elwell, age 58, of Blue Springs, Mo., formerly of Warrensburg, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb.8, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg with Reverend Heather Jepsen officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Wayside Waifs of Kansas City, Mo., or the American Cancer Society and both can be left in care of the funeral home.

She was born April 12, 1955, in Warrensburg, Mo., the daughter of William F. “Bill” and Ann (Christopher) Elwell.

Chris was a graduate of Warrensburg College High School class of 1973.  While attending college, she worked at the Daily Star Journal.  Chris later worked at the law office of Blackwell-Sanders in Kansas City, Mo., in the I.T. Department.  She was currently working for CPROS Software Company in Blue Springs as a software engineer.

She is survived by her mother Ann Elwell of Warrensburg; her sisters, Kelly Elwell of Blue Springs, Mo., and Karen Elwell of Warrensburg, Mo., and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris was preceded in death by her father, William F. “Bill” Elwell on July 19, 2009.
