The Crest Ridge girls basketball team fell 36-24 to Wellington Saturday in the I-70 Conference Tournament championship game.

“We had a great defensive effort in a hard-fought game,” said coach Katie Woolsey. “We missed a lot of shots, credit that to Wellington’s physical defense. We executed well and got the shots we wanted, (we) just didn’t finish. We had a great week in the tournament and can’t wait for the next game.”

Bre Wonderly had seven points and six steals for Crest Ridge. Kaitlyn Francy had seven steals.
